Gretel Going Partner
Gretel brings seven years of media, public relations and marketing expertise to Channel V Media.
Gretel spent two years at The Rosen Group Public Relations, where she had the pleasure of working with clients such as Radar magazine, Smithsonian magazine, Paste magazine, PC Magazine, Custom Publishing Council, The International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW) and the 2007 memoir STOPLESS.
Prior to joining The Rosen Group, Gretel lived in San Diego where she co-founded numberII magazine, an underground, social commentary glossy. Gretel additionally spent several years in Chicago, where she worked in magazine marketing and television & event production.
At Dynamic, a privately-owned magazine, Gretel worked as marketing associate. Prior to this, she spent a year at Chicago magazine, where she assisted in the development of special advertising features and coordinated issue launch parties as a part of their marketing department. Gretel launched her media career as a production intern at the Jerry Springer Show.
Gretel’s writing has appeared in Chicago magazine, Publishing Executive, Dynamic magazine, numberII magazine, The Green magazine, BlackTable, JourneyBeyondTravel and others. She has written book reviews for two of Hachette Filipacchi Media U.S.’s titles, and posts from her various blogs have been picked up by over 200 online media outlets.
Gretel graduated from Indiana University with a B.S. in Psychology and a double minor in Spanish and Biology. She meant to pursue a career in neuroscientific research, but after a heated affair with the media (and an unsavory run-in with some very sad lab rats) she made other plans.
