The Challenge

Bold Commerce had evolved into an enterprise checkout solution, but it was still known widely in the market as the leading app creator for Shopify. The company’s $27 million Series B funding round further advanced its “headless” commerce capabilities, enabling brands to bring transaction experiences anywhere. Bold needed to move beyond its Shopify-specific legacy and communicate to a broader base of retailers that it could power commerce anywhere.

Where CVM Came In

We shifted the conversation from the Shopify apps that launched Bold Commerce to the digital experiences its new funding round would enable. We turned Bold’s vision of powering commerce at every consumer touchpoint into a broader industry conversation.

Here’s How We Did It

We introduced Bold Commerce as the company behind “anywhere commerce.”

Bold Commerce’s composable checkout enables retailers and brands to convert shoppers beyond traditional retail channels—across product pages, social media, in-store kiosks and more. We positioned this as “anywhere commerce,” establishing Bold as the company powering commerce experiences on any digital channel and extending its impact far beyond its Shopify app roots.

CVM knows what’s press-worthy and coaches us on where we could do more or be better. They challenge us to raise the bar and set our sights on wins that matter. Their impact has far exceeded what we would have been able to accomplish on our own.

Bold Commerce, funding case study

We positioned the funding round as one of many milestones in Bold’s growing momentum.

As part of its raise, Bold Commerce planned to hire new executives and 100+ employees and expand its network of technology partners. We teased these initiatives in the initial funding announcement and followed up with executive appointment and partnership news in the months afterward to reinforce Bold’s ongoing mission to enable commerce anywhere.
